I've probably bought and sold a half dozen homes in my lifetime but selling my (late) father-in-laws home that was within a trust was something new. Given that my father-in-law had listed his house with Gary Rose of Central Oregon Home Seller, I felt there was no reason to change brokers particularly after meeting with him. Gary was extremely professional and sensitive considering the circumstances and was very adept at responding to queries from me as well as my father-in-laws three daughters...that's an accomplishment right there!   We weren't selling the house at the optimal time, about 2 months before the onset of winter, but weren't in a position where we had to sell the house either. Gary helped strategize the sale, he was very proactive in informing us what was occurring...I'm 6 hours away by the way...but the distance was a non-issue. He had my (the trust's) best interests at heart, he was smart enough to realize that our first buyer was flakey (my word not Gary's) and  when the deal did fall through he literally had another offer in his back pocket.

 

So based on my experiences - if you want an intelligent broker, a great communicator...someone who initiates the discussion as well as promptly responding to any questions you might have...and someone who will look out for your best interests, give Gary a call.    And lastly, I asked Gary if I could write him a letter of recommendation. And those half dozen homes that I've previously bought and sold - none of those realtors or brokers demonstrated the tact, the communication expertise, nor the skills and knowledge that Gary did.
